1. What Bill To does

Bill To lets you create invoices, send them to your clients, and collect payment through your own Stripe or PayPal account. We are a tool you use to run your business. We are not a party to any invoice you send, and we do not decide whether it is owed or correct.

2. Your account

You can use the app without signing in. Signing in with your email address links your work to an account so it survives a lost phone and follows you to a new one. You are responsible for anything done through your account and for keeping access to your email address.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must not use Bill To if we have previously closed your account.

3. Your content

Your invoices, clients, logos and business details are yours. You keep every right you have in them. You give us permission to store, process and transmit that content only to run the service for you — for example, to render your PDF, email an invoice on your behalf, or show an invoice to whoever holds its link.

You are responsible for making sure the content you send is lawful and accurate.

4. Invoice links

Every invoice gets a link containing a long random token. Anyone holding that link can view, download, sign and pay the invoice without signing in — that is what makes it work for your client. Treat the link as you would the invoice itself, and only send it to people who should see it.

5. Payments

Card payments run through Stripe and PayPal payments through PayPal, using accounts you connect yourself. Money goes from your client to your account. We never hold your funds. Their fees, terms and payout schedules are between you and them.

If a payment fails, is disputed, or is refunded, that is settled with your payment provider. We can show you what the provider told us; we cannot reverse or release a payment for you.

6. What you must not do

• Invoice for anything illegal, or use the app to defraud, threaten or harass.
• Impersonate another business, or send invoices on behalf of one without permission.
• Break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or work around its limits.
• Upload malware, or content you have no right to use.

7. Availability

We try to keep Bill To running and your data safe, but the service is provided as is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose — the app can export every invoice as a PDF.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, FatMachines LLC is not liable for lost profits, lost business, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Bill To. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Ending it

You can stop using Bill To at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to [email protected]. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that we are required to close by law. Invoices already sent to your clients remain valid documents between you and them.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the app changes. The date at the top says when they last changed, and continuing to use Bill To after a change means you accept the new version.
